DCP HSC students set for RVH final!
Well done to our group of Health and Social Care Students who won their semi- final round of the Belfast Trust Student Healthcare Debate this morning after beating off serious competition from Our Lady’s Grammar School in Newry.
The Dominican team of Nicole McFadden, Tabitha Campfield, Anna McLaughlin and
Sarah Bradley Cahoon, all U6 Health and Social Care Students, were tasked with opposing the following statement in our debate: “Patients attending the Emergency Department should pay a charge.”
The girls and their teacher, Mrs Kerri Dallat will travel to the Royal Victoria Hospital on 14th December to compete against St Catherine’s Armagh.
Mrs Dallat expressed her absolute delight in the success of her team, “This is the first time that we have entered the competition so to get to the semi-finals was a feat in itself. I must also thank the staff who offered their contributions, without your help, the girls would not have got to this stage- so it has been a real team effort! We very much look forward to both the challenge and the opportunity that the final will bring to our students”.
