{module_photogallery,37137} Thanks to a grant from Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, Portstewart Community Association contacted Dominican College at the start of the year with a view to helping disadvantaged pupils during a renewed period of remote learning which resulted in all pupils being forced to attend school remotely. The school, in line with its own initiatives to alleviate and help all Dominican students to have access to digital technology, was delighted to accept five laptop computers which had been purchased by Portstewart Community Association and loaned to pupils within the school to enable them to attend live lessons, complete assignments and maintain close contact with their teachers. The school was delighted to recently welcome Nigel Handforth and Elaine Breakey from Portstewart Community Association to thank them in person for their continued support for the school. Elaine and Nigel are pictured here with Mr Gerry Lynch (Vice Principal), Mr Peter McDaid (ICT Co-ordinator), Rebekah Dunbar (Head Girl) and Joshua Fleming (Senior Prefect). The school looks forward to continuing to foster positive relationships within our local community. {module_photogallery,37138}
