June Sports Update

{module_photogallery,36782} Camogie and Athletics success for Dominican pupils. Our year 8 and 9 girls both won the NEBSSA Camogie Blitz on Thursday 20th June. They played a range of matches against local schools. The Dominican team were unbeaten throughout the day and went on to win the Blitz overall. Two of our Year 11 pupils, Aoife Loughrey and Millie Marshall, helped out on the day and worked with our pupils from Year 8 and 9. Well done to Miss McCoy and Mrs Park for working with these pupils. A special thank-you also to North Coast Integrated for organising a fantastic day full of great developmental skills, games and the promotion of Camogie for all schools involved. . {module_photogallery,36781} More Success for Oliver! Oliver Swinney, a Year 11 student, capped off an excellent year in Athletics by competing in The Interprovinical Athletics Championships in Morton Stadium, Dublin on Saturday. Oliver won Gold in the 100m event in a new personal best time of 10.94 and followed this up by anchoring the 100M relay team to victory for his second Gold of the day. Very well done from all in Dominican College, Oliver. We look forward to see you develop as an athlete over the coming years. Sports Awards 2019 This Thursday the school will celebrate the sporting achievements of all our pupils in our annual Sports Awards ceremony hosted by the PE department. Well done to all pupils who have taken part in Sports in school this year.
