Rebecca Maxwell, a Year 12 Dominican pupil, is a current World and European champion in Brazilian Jui-Jitsu.
In July Rebecca competed at the World Championships in Birmingham winning a double Gold in the 14-15 age category. Last weekend she returned to the same venue for the European Championships this time winning a Gold and two Silver medals in the same age category. This is a phenomenal achievement and her entire school community are so proud of Rebecca and what she has accomplished.
In her next challenge, Rebecca will travel to Finland this December to compete in the Wrestling World Championships.
A naturally modest Rebecca paid tribute to all those involved in Causeway Team Ryano and in particular her coach Pete McClay.
