Our purpose is to create a safe and welcoming environment where everyone can thrive. We believe in celebrating the creation of each individual, meeting them at their own unique starting point and providing an excellent educational experience that empowers them to become the very best version of themselves, both in school and beyond.
Our Values
We are guided by our core values of truth, faith, responsibility, respect, kindness, forgiveness and justice to nurture every member of our Dominican family.
Truth. Veritas means seeking the truth and always being truthful with ourselves even when it’s hard.
Faith. Recognising God created each of us exactly the way we are supposed to be. Each with our own skills and talents, personalities, strengths and vulnerabilities.
Responsibility. Using the skills and talents given to each of us and not wasting these. We also have a responsibility to play our part in the Dominican family.
Respect. Showing respect to ourselves, all pupils and staff through our words, behaviour and actions.
Kindness. Choosing to be kind in the words that we use to others, about others and in how we treat everyone, both in school and outside of school.
Forgiveness. Acknowledging our mistakes, taking responsibility and choosing to move forward positively, forgiving ourselves and being gracious enough to forgive others when they get it wrong.
Justice. Speaking up if we see someone who is not being treated fairly, not being respected or where people are being unkind. Speaking up when things are wrong and not the way they should be.
