KS3
Key stage three at Dominican College challenges pupils to study a variety of artists, designers and crafts people, experiment using a wide range of media and techniques and develop skills based on different themes as they begin their creative journey. Pupils get the opportunity to work in a range of 2D and 3D forms including drawing, painting and ceramics. Pupils are guided through carefully developed projects that range from themes such as Architecture, Nature and Portraits, which develops the ability of students and also encourages them to be increasingly self-motivated. This allows our pupils to explore some of the ideas, techniques and processes that they will encounter at GCSE.
