Alongside our Portstewart pupils we have pupils travelling to and from Dominican College from Aghadowey, Articlave, Ballycastle, Ballymoney, Bushmills, Castlerock, Coleraine, Dunloy, Garvagh, Kilrea, Magilligan, Portrush, Stranocum and other outlying districts. Staff carry out supervised bus duty to ensure all pupils leave the school safely on the correct bus.
Pupils travelling to and from school can receive free transport, through a bus pass, providing that their home is more than three miles (as measured by the nearest available route) from the school and that transport to the school is available. Applications for bus passes should be made by parents on the Translink website. Transport arrangements dating from 1997 mean that some prospective pupils from Coleraine may have to pay for their bus pass. Some of these pupils currently received free transport at post-16.
